Our story
A family recipe, a Palestinian heritage, and a home on Slauson Avenue.
Jerusalem Chicken was established in 2021 with a simple but powerful mission: bring the authentic flavors of Palestine to Los Angeles. Founded as a family-owned restaurant, the vision was rooted in the home-style cooking of Jerusalem — dishes passed down through generations, built on bold spices, fresh herbs, and the kind of recipes that taste like a grandmother made them.
Tucked on West Slauson Avenue in Windsor Hills, the restaurant quickly stood out — its baby blue building a landmark in a neighborhood rich with culinary culture. What set Jerusalem Chicken apart wasn't just the food. It was the warmth. Staff walking guests through the menu, owners who take personal pride in every plate, and a dining room that feels like a welcoming home from the very first visit.
Our food promise
Marinated daily. Grilled to perfection. Made to taste like home.
At Jerusalem Chicken, every dish starts with our commitment to quality. Our chicken is marinated daily in signature blends of authentic Palestinian spices — lemon, garlic, sumac, and more — then grilled to perfection. We combine traditional recipes with efficient, friendly service so you get a truly flavorful experience, every single time.
Everything on our menu is Halal-certified. From our creamy house-made hummus to our freshly baked pita, our slow-roasted Emsakhan chicken to our Jerusalem rice, we use fresh, quality ingredients because great food starts long before it reaches the table. Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian, or vegan, there's something at Jerusalem Chicken made just for you.
Must-try dishes
Some dishes have become legendary at Jerusalem Chicken. Siti's Original — baked chicken stuffed with yellow rice, ground beef, mushrooms, and earthy spices — is the signature dish that keeps guests coming back again and again. The Emsakhan plate, a sumac-roasted chicken layered over caramelized onions and freshly baked bread, is a true taste of Palestinian home cooking.
For a handheld option, the Falafel Pita is a must — generously filled, crispy, and bursting with flavor. Pair it with our house green sauce or spicy garlic sauce, and you'll understand why reviewers call it one of the best in Los Angeles. Don't leave without trying our hummus (some guests call it the best they've ever had), the mint lemonade, or the J-Baklava for a sweet finish.
